Setup time

Step-by-step
- 1Pair the camera in the Alarm.com app before mounting.
- 2Choose a mounting spot 8–10 ft up with clear line-of-sight and Wi-Fi signal.
- 3Drill and mount the bracket, then feed the power cable through the wall or along a soffit.
- 4Seal cable entry points with caulk to prevent water ingress.
- 5Tune motion zones in the app to exclude sidewalks and trees.
Common mistakes
- • Aiming into direct sunrise/sunset — creates blinding glare.
- • Skipping caulk on cable entries.
Troubleshooting
- • Weak Wi-Fi: add a mesh Wi-Fi node closer to the mount point.
