Install: Motion sensor

Passive-infrared sensor. Covers up to 35 ft at ~90° when mounted in a room corner.

Step-by-step

1. 1Pair the sensor from the panel's Add Device menu.
2. 2Mount 7–8 ft high, angled into the room's main walking path.
3. 3Avoid pointing at HVAC vents, fireplaces, or direct sunlight.
4. 4Walk-test by triggering while a helper watches the panel.

Common mistakes

• • Aiming at a window that gets direct sun — heat spikes can trip it.
• • Mounting too low — pets under 40 lb should walk under, not through, the beam.

Troubleshooting

• • No trips during walk-test: confirm sensor LED blinks when you move.
• • Too many trips: lower sensitivity in Panel → Devices → Motion → Settings.
